This Easter we remember the hope of Jesus’ resurrection and victory over death in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. As churches across our diocese are unable to gather in person, let’s raise a hallelujah on our front porches to bring the hope of Jesus to our neighborhoods. At noon on Easter Sunday, April 12, gather with everyone in your household outside your home and shout “Alleluia! Christ is Risen! The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia! Alleluia!” Ring bells, make a joyful noise, sing “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” and celebrate for 60 seconds! Post a picture or video of your celebration with #RaiseAHallelujah and #levantaunaleluya.
En esta Pascua recordamos la gran esperanza de la resurrección de Jesucristo y su victoria sobre la muerte en medio de la pandemia de COVID-19. Debido a que las iglesias de nuestra ciudad no pueden reunirse en persona, levantemos juntos un aleluya desde nuestro porches y balcones para traer la esperanza de Jesús a nuestros vecindarios. Al mediodía del domingo de Pascua, el 12 de abril, reúnanse con la familia entera afuera y griten «¡Aleluya! ¡Cristo ha resucitado! ¡Es verdad, el Señor ha resucitado! ¡Aleluya! ¡Aleluya!» ¡Toquen las campanas, hagan un ruido alegre, canten “Cristo el Señor ha resucitado hoy” y celebren afuera por 60 segundos!
