Special Prayer Requests
Please lift up the following prayer requests before the LORD:
-
Please pray for God’s direction with regards to the mission of the
Church of the Resurrection Bloomfield and for open doors of opportunity
for the ministry
- Please pray for the success and good turnout at
the house fellowship
we have in Bloomfield on Thursday evenings
- Thank you for joining me in praying for Michael
Jackson’s children
as the world and indeed the earth mourns for his passing. Continue to
remember them in your prayers as several issues come up that affect
them.

Prayer
Our Father you are the only one that can change the hearts of men.
Change our hearts oh Lord that we may serve you in spirit and in
truth..
We pray with thanksgiving for your son president
Barack Obama in accordance with 1 Timothy 2:1 that it may be well with
us. We continue to pray the blessings of Isaiah 11 and 55 on him.
Father, be his strength and wisdom and understanding in these difficult
days.
Father as you refine the peoples of the earth and
shake all things, help us to be able to stand, strengthen us by your
Holy Spirit in our inner man so we will not be swept away in the flood
of judgements hovering over the earth as you call on us to account for
our stewardship of the earth in this generation.
We ask for forgiveness for the way we have
destroyed the oceans, the air, animals, space and everything else you
have given us access to. We the people on the earth have been on a
destruction spree but we are unable to handle the consequences of our
actions.
Father thank you for how far you have come to the
rescue of the people of Chile and Haiti affected by earthquakes. Help
we the people on the earth at this time to seek to find out sincerely
why you have allowed these disasters and repent lest a worse thing
befall the earth and its inhabitants for these are the latter days.
We ask for continued support for Haiti that has no
national resources but totally depends on the world community. Help us
not to forget these people but to continue to support them. We ask for
honesty in the various aid organizations even as they face the
temptation of diverting funds to other causes.
Father as the last push for the completion and
passing of the healthcare bill advances, give success to the
president’s effort that the many souls without insurance or whose
insurance is like not having one may be able to receive help for their
various ailments and the unbearable cost to all may be reduced.
Give wisdom to all concerned to make the necessary
amendments to make the bill passable. Give wisdom to congress to make
the necessary changes to ensure that we are all not guilty of promoting
abortion lest it be used as an accusation against us by the accuser of
the brethren.
We ask for favour for our congress that they would
not react along party lines in a bid to destroy the other party but
they will indeed put the country and the hurting people they are
serving ahead of personal gain and cast the difficult votes needed to
pass the various hard bills that will be coming up and that are
necessary to alleviate the suffering of the people.
Father your word is clear that greed is evil for
you have said that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
Help us as a people on the earth to turn away from greed which is the
root of the current global economic failure.
Father let those who have decided to use any means
to control all the resources of the world by putting everybody into
financial bondage fail in their evil endeavour. Help us to desist from
taking personal and national decisions that put us into the various
traps they have set.
Let those who have set financial traps using
occultic means fall into the traps they have set.
Deliver us from the stranglehold of the
indiscipline of the free market that is threatening to irrevocably
destroy the whole global economy at its very foundation for the sake of
those who call upon your name in spirit and in truth.
Father as we continue to examine ourselves during
these 40 days of fasting in honour of that which you did for us give us
contrite hearts that our fasting may be acceptable unto you.
Manifest the mind of Christ and a desire to be holy and perfect as you
are and demand that we be.
Help us to be truly Christian and not just people
who have learned how to say the right things but whose hearts are far
from you. Draw us near father in your mercy
Help us as a people to see, perceive and
understand the battle for our souls going on around us and be careful
to stay where your mercy can reach us. Remove every oppressor spirit
far away from us so we love our neighbour as ourselves whether it is
convenient or not
Father we thank you for the success of the Iraqi
elections. We ask oh Lord for protection for the Christians in that
land. Strengthen them and protect them for they are currently under
attack.
Thank you for your mercy upon our military. Continue to watch over
them. Help us as a country to put your ways and law higher than the
praise of men and political correctness.
You say homosexuality is an abomination and so
that is what it is. Help us to accept your word and not rebel. Help our
military not to take decision with regards to the issue of openly gay
people in the army lest the battle be turned against us and our troops
be made naked before the enemy and destroyed.
We continue to ask for wisdom for our president
whom you have given us that he will hear clearly from you. Help us the
people to accept the discipline that you have allowed that it may be
well with us.
We continue to lift up the Obama family before you
and ask for your continued protection over them. Continue to be their
security detail and return all arrows back to the senders.
Help them to continue to be good example before us. We plead the
blessings of Psalms 91 in them.
Because he is your servant, Father, we continue to
claim the heritage of your servants in Isaiah 54 verses 15-17 for our
president and his family. Be an enemy to all the enemies of your
purpose in his life, and an adversary to all the adversaries of your
purpose in his life for it is your will, your plan and your anointing
that they challenge therefore show yourself mighty that we may be
delivered as a nation from all that plagues us..
Father prepare a table of supernatural success and
blessing before him in the presence of all those trying to make him and
consequently the nation and your purpose to fail and put them to shame
because his success is our success. Give him the kind of supernatural
success that shuts up the mouth of the enemy and that glorifies your
name. Take all the glory and let it be seen that you are the one at
work and that you honour the anointing you place on the sons of men
with success that others in public service may choose to serve as your
servant too.
We continue to lift up the nation of Nigeria.
Intervene in your mercy and resolve the furious spiritual battles
taking place in the heavenlies over the country. For the sake of the
whole world, deliver and let peace prevail. Open the eyes of the people
to understand that they are the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and
help them to turn to the God of their fathers and Jesus Christ their
messiah in truth. Help them to realize they are a covenant people.
Protect all our loved ones in the land and keep them all safe.
Continue to keep our homeland safe we ask oh Lord
as the world continues its aimless uncontrollable spin. Help us to turn
to you who alone is able to stop the spin.
We ask that you build a hedge of protection around
us and our loved ones. Heal our bodies and our finances.
Father, make us a merciful people that strengthens
the weak and are kind to strangers as required by you. So we ask for
successful immigration reform that can stand for us as an act of mercy
that enables us receive from you for the cries of many affected by our
anti immigrant attitude are rising up to you against us. Help us to
change our attitude.
Father Guide our going out and coming in and that
of all our loved ones as we travel to and fro locally and
internationally. Keep them and us dwelling in your secret place and
abiding under your shadow.
We commit our children into your hands and trust
you to watch over them and keep them safe at work, at school and at
play. Keep them and us healthy and away from all sickness.
Give victory and supernatural debt cancellation to
those of us with financial court cases.
Father, make a way for the evangelistic ministry
of the Church of the resurrection Bloomfield. Open doors of opportunity
for the ministry in the land
Help our judiciary, congress, federal, state and
local governments to enact laws and policies that are pleasing to you
with regards to marriage that it may be well with us, for you gave the
laws regarding marriage to Moses directly in accordance with your
blessing on mankind in Genesis 1:26-28 which makes marriage a union
that can only be between a man and a woman.
Father we ask for continued mercy in California,
as your servants continue to defend marriage as the union of one man
and one woman in accordance with your word. that it may be well with us
as a nation.
We thank you for how you are helping the children
left behind by Michael Jackson, Intervene on their behalf with regards
to all these creditor claims that are surfacing. As the case to find
justice for their father begins, intervene, choose the jury members and
let there be justice so that these children may find closure and be
able to move on into the life that you have planned for them. Help them
to be successful in whatever you have planned for their future..
As our international envoys carry out their
assigned duties, empower them to succeed. We ascribe all the glory to
you. Use them in fulfilling your plan for the earth.
We receive the answers to our prayers with
thanksgiving in Jesus' name. Amen.
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For
the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to
the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every
high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and
bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And
having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience
is fulfilled."
Remember, the condition for revenging all
disobedience is our own obedience.
