We are a diocese of learners and pioneers.

We want to join with curious leaders and artists who desire to follow the Spirit to new places and new things toward our vision of boundless revival.

We believe there is more than one way to plant healthy churches.

We embrace flexible and inventive ministry models to reach the greatest number of people. Our two training pathways get us to our primary goal: seeing a movement grow across the Upper Midwest where people experience a relationship with Jesus and His Church that leads to boundless revival.

We are excited to partner with leaders who:

  • desire theological cohesion and relational ministry.
  • are willing to take risks for the Gospel.
  • can initiate and collaborate toward our vision.
  • want to grow as spiritual mothers and fathers with lives worthy of imitation.
  • are committed to our vision of starting churches that start churches.
  • know that long-term ministry means caring for their souls and guarding time with their families.

Pathway 1: Gregory House

Gregory House is a diocesan-wide ministry school for leaders and artists, focusing on teaching biblical theology and leadership essentials. We provide this through on-the-ground training in our churches, along with diocesan seminars and retreats. The goal of Gregory House is to gain an immersive experience to discern and prepare for vocational ministry. Here are our three levels of training:

  • Residency: For those who know they are called to pastor within our diocese (in the areas of worship arts; children, youth, and adult formation; or church planting) or are preparing to be sent to another mission field by our diocese.
  • Fellow: For those joining our diocese, either as a staff member of one of our churches or as an Anglican pastor or planter.

Pathway 2: Greenhouse

The Greenhouse Movement—a sister organization within our diocese that is closely related in vision and mission—offers a ministry training program meant to augment work within a church setting. Father William Beasley, Missioner General of Greenhouse, is a dean in our diocese, and our diocesan vision of boundless revival aligns with Greenhouse’s mission of following the Holy Spirit for the spontaneous expansion of God’s Church. Here are the three ways we accomplish our aligned mission together:

  • Join a Cohort: Receive coursework and training in sacramental theology and ministry in connection with others.
  • Become a Missionary: Develop the gifts of ministry through hands-on training either in a summer ministry or a part- or full-time ministry setting.
  • Be Part of a Larger Network: Connect with those ministering in an area of affinity, whether that be college campuses, Asian or Hispanic work, healing and reconciliation ministry, and more.

Other Training Option

SEND Conference: The Greenhouse Movement’s annual SEND conference is a time for college students to encounter the Lord through dynamic teaching and worship, be equipped for ministry through practical workshops, and be sent forth into the harvest on their campus and beyond.
